Peter Hetherington
Practice Lead - Implementation

Peter has returned as Chair of the Judges for this year's Firm Awards. 

Peter heads up the Implementation and Workforce Planning practice at Udder, focusing on supporting businesses that aim to get a competitive edge by augmenting their teams with technology and using data to drive better people decisions.

Peter brings to Udder a wealth of experience and knowledge in the HR & Talent Acquisition space, a deep understanding of how technology can be an enabler of better performance, and an incredible ability to solve the most complex problems in the simplest of ways.



Emma Fulton
Director Of Marketing Operations, Army Recruiting Group
British Army / Capita Defence Recruiting Group

Emma is Director of Marketing Operations for Capita’s Recruiting Partnering Project with the British Army. Responsible for marketing engagement across all owned channels, taking those with awareness and interest and converting them to applicants by showing the breath of the Army offer in a fresh and exciting way.

She was previously a Resourcing Partner and member of the Resourcing Leadership Team at LV= where she was responsible for Employer Brand, attract and social strategy, working to ensure the group brand and employer brand and strategy aligned. Prior to this Emma was a Recruiter and Resourcing Partner for Defence company QinetiQ. Emma started her career as an HR generalist, but she soon realised where action was and moved into Recruitment and the heady world of attraction and talent.

Jennifer Candee
Global Head of Talent Acquisition
Cargill

Jennifer's background spans over 24 years of broad Talent and HR experience across a breadth of industries from FMCG, food ingredients and agriculture to financial services, telecommunications, retail and manufacturing. Jennifer is the Global Director, TA Strategy and Performance at Cargill, a global food and ingredients agriculture company with $165 billion in annual revenues and 160K employees working across 70 countries. She holds a broad remit to establish and lead the strategy across the 400+ global TA professionals, Employer Branding, Talent Intelligence and Performance, TA Operations and Executive TA.

 Jennifer was formerly the Global Head of Talent Acquisition and Employer Brand for Mondelez International, one of the world's largest snacks companies where she brought the team to new heights winning awards for Global Onboarding, their Global Employer Brand launch and Global Exec TA. For 10 years prior to Mondelez, Jennifer acted as the Global Head of Talent Acquisition for SABMiller, the second largest global brewer and one of the world’s largest bottlers of Coca-Cola drinks prior to its acquisition by ABInBev.

Simon Mawson
Head of Resourcing & Talent Acquisition

Simon is a Resourcing leader with 10 years + experience within the UK resourcing scene. With a background in major resourcing turnaround projects, functional talent acquisition transformations and currently responsible for TA at the UK's Largest Private Healthcare Provider, Circle Health Group. Simon’s unconventional approach focuses on innovative and market disrupting talent attraction campaigns, hard hitting EVPs, process automation, modernisation of TA functions, and zany candidate experience methodologies. Simon’s sector background spans healthcare, logistics, outsourcing and construction.

Mark Thomas
Vice President Talent Acquisition and Development
Abcam

Mark joined the global life science business Abcam as VP Talent Acquisition and Development in 2018 after enjoying over 20 years’ experience across HR in global roles at Marks & Spencer and Tesco. Throughout his career he has enjoyed enabling business growth through effective talent strategy including being part of the team contributing to Tesco growing from £9 - £72 billion revenue in 14 years  and more recently Abcam tripling in size in just 5 years to c.3 billion market cap. Mark is inspired by Abcam’s purpose, the work it does and how it enables positive impact on society. Outside of work he enjoys time with his family and sport including usually watching West Bromwich Albion losing on a regular basis.

Georgie O'Connor
TA Lead - Europe

Georgie is the MSC Talent Acquisition Lead for Europe at Mondelez International, one of the world's largest snacking companies with brands including Cadbury, Oreo and Philadelphia, with 2022 net revenues of $31.5 billion, over 90,000 employees and operations across 80 countries globally. Georgie leads the Talent Acquisition strategy for the Manufacturing & Supply Chain functions in Europe, she is transforming talent acquisition to be more proactive, strategic and innovative, evolving these teams into forward thinking talent partners to the business. Alongside her role, Georgie partners the Global MSC leadership team on their talent acquisition strategies, providing recommendations based on regular insights and analytics. In her previous role she led a team of 25 as the BU TA Lead for Northern Europe and prior to joining Mondelez, she worked agency side for an international executive search firm. Her biggest focus outside of work are her family & friends, she especially enjoys time away with her Husband and their 7 year old Daughter and 1 year old Son, most recently exploring the Greek islands.

Keisha Ffrench
Internal Recruiter (Apprenticeships)

Keisha is an internal recruiter for Softcat PLC; an industry leading provider of IT solutions and services. Keisha specifically recruits for Softcat's apprenticeship and internship programmes and has supported in the recruitment of hundreds of young people over the course of her career. Through Keisha and her team's efforts, changes to the early careers recruitment process has resulted in improved diversity in early career hiring, increased school engagement and increased investment in apprenticeship and internship hires. At the 2023 Firm Awards, Keisha was award In House Recruiter of the Year. The judges were impressed by Keisha who they called an over-performing career changer, demonstrating the value of transferrable skills and excellent client delivery.

Jo Cattini

I have worked in recruitment for almost 20 years after 10 years working in the travel industry. My recruitment career began in a high street agency on the South Coast. I moved to London and an education supply agency where I managed a team of 6 consultants. In 2014, i made the move to internal recruitment at Liberty, London. As Resourcing Manager, I was responsible for both head office and retail recruitment. In 2018, I moved to a standalone role at B&H Worldwide - a dedicated recruitment function was new to the business and in this management role, I developed and implemented the end-to-end recruitment process for all global locations within the business. My current role at BMT was also a new function to the business and alongside the other TA Manager we have developed and implemented a TA strategy whilst the business goes through a large organisational change. We have introduced various new ways of working as well as becoming more data led in our decisions.

Laura Price

Laura has spent many years in the recruitment agency world with TMP Worldwide, where she first encountered the fascinating world of cyber. She then moved in- house, firstly working in HE enlightening students on the benefits of engaging with their University's Careers Service. Laura joined BT 4 years ago. in a role where 'she couldn't have written her own more perfect job description'. Raising the profile of BT's Security business and working collaboratively across industry, academia and government to help demystify cyber careers - Laura is passionate about promoting the opportunities in cyber to a more diverse audience. Especially if it involves developing early careers and reskilling talent into BT's organisation.

Andrew Davidson

Andrew joined the NHS GMTS team in 2021 and has focused on ensuring the scheme provides an outstanding development experience for aspiring leaders from diverse communities. With a background in education, he qualified as a teacher in 2007 spending the last ten years working in school leadership, latterly as a headteacher improving the quality of education in challenging schools serving disadvantaged communities. Passionate about organisational development and the role good leadership and management plays in affecting organisational change, Andrew has an MSc in Education specialising in leadership and policy.

Mark Hassan - Ali

Mark's career has spanned agencies, global consultancies and boutique start-ups, but most recently has been problem solving across a range of sectors, for different size businesses, from start up to global corporations. His most recent work has been with a hyper-growth tech and research business, one of the world’s largest advertising agencies going through huge amounts of post-merger change, and an innovative and inspiring hyper growth scale-up that is shaking up the early years education sector. He was so taken by the ambition of N Family Club’s five year plan, in a sector that has been notoriously under valued, that I have joined the leadership team on a permanent basis to build, scale and lead the people strategy. As a trusted partner to board members, he works as a strategic problem solver who is focused on delivery whilst carefully balancing operational needs and laser focus on commerciality. He is passionate about people and has particular expertise in the areas of talent acquisition and management, culture and engagement, inclusion and diversity, change management and process improvement. He has a first-class degree in Language & Communication and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
